About Interferential Therapy and Athiritis Machines
Interferential Therapy is a treatment that has been used to try and help manage pain and speed up the healing process. It involves applying small electrical currents to a painful area through small pads placed on the skin.Traditionally, this type of therapy has been carried out in the physiotherapy clinic. Recently, however a number of ‘portable’ machines and arthiritis machines have become available that are capable of delivering this type of therapy in the comfort of your own home.
Interferential therapy has been used for a range of conditions including:
- Fibromyalgia
- Neuropathic pain
- Rheumatoid arthritis
