Why is it important to have a back support cushion?

Low back pain is one of the most common problems faced in the workplace. There is some evidence that poor posture (along with a number of other factors) can contribute to this problem. Historically, most of our customers have purchased back support cushions for an existing spinal condition. Increasingly, however, we are noticing that people are investing in back support cushions to try and reduce the risk of the injury happening in the first place.

Can back support cushions solve all my spine problems?

As physiotherapists we appreciate that spinal pain can be caused by a number of factors. Therefore, whilst we believe good posture is very important in preventing or managing spinal pain we also like to emphasise the importance of taking care of your spine when you are not sitting down. If you have been injured, we highly recommend getting assessed by a Chartered Physiotherapist who will be able to help you develop a treatment program suitable for your problem. Fluto Ltd is managed by Chartered Physiotherapists who have a background in treating people with a range of  neuro-musculoskeletal problems.

Will work pay for back supports?

It is a legal duty for your employer to ensure you work in a healthy workplace, which also means providing safe sitting furniture. If you believe your seat is causing your spine problems we recommend that you speak to your employer regarding how they intend to help you.
