Whilst sitting in a good position is a very good start, if you truly want to prevent or treat back pain you also need to take care of your body when you are not sitting. This means avoiding activities that aggravate your spine. We also highly recommend that you maintain the strength and flexibility of the muscles around your trunk in order to help stabilise the spine. If you have been injured we recommend you speak to a Chartered Physiotherapist about the exercises that will be most appropriate for your circumstances.
